The Muddy Duck Story
Originally known as Travelling Tasty (T Tis), the café operated for over 30 years providing jobs for people with intellectual disabilities and offering catering services to local businesses.
After the café suddenly closed in 2022, Julie Bellato saw an opportunity to give it new life. Initially planning to lease it out, her family instead created Muddy Duck Café, launching pop-up pizza nights, Saturday coffee service, and later a full-time venue in 2024.
With a liquor license secured, the vision expanded to include tapas, cocktails, and a place for friends, families, and travellers to enjoy time together. The tapas model reflects Julie’s belief in sharing—not just food, but connection.
